This lot is led by Alejandro, who has focused on identifying a unique profile in the region, characterized by its floral intensity and creaminess. After three years of effort, they have determined which producers can offer the best cups, building loyalty through fair prices and exceptional quality. In this way, Alejandro has managed to consolidate a distinctive profile in the region. This area stands out for its exceptional soil, located between three volcanoes: Huila, Sotará, and Puracé. This geography contributes to fertile land with unique attributes, resulting in more aromatic coffees and yellow fruits. Each lot is cupped in collaboration with the producers, allowing for classification within this profile and providing them with opportunities to continuously improve the quality of their coffee.

Contact for DetailsAlejandro ventured into coffee farming thanks to a friend of his father, Diego Bermúdez, the owner of Finca El Paraíso. His father, an accountant, has been working alongside him on this project. Diego spoke to him about the characteristics of coffee from Inzá, the region from which Alejandro's family hails, an area in Colombia known for its history of violence and difficult access. Intrigued by the opportunities, Alejandro considered establishing a purchasing point, as Diego had mentioned he bought all the coffee. After an extensive search, they found a suitable house and began constructing their purchasing point in 2019. In 2021, they purchased a farm in the region, La Argelia, where they dream of organizing tours to promote coffee farming and present the area in a different light than conventional tourism. Today, their venture is a family effort: his father handles purchasing, Alejandro oversees the farm and coffee quality, and his mother develops community programs, such as embroidery with local women and outreach to young people in the countryside to show them an alternative future. Their company is one of only two formal businesses in the region, and they firmly believe in its potential to make a positive impact in Inzá with 1040 Inza Coffee. They have managed to maintain the availability of their coffee while improving its quality. On the farm, they cultivate varieties such as Sudan Rume, Maragojipe, Catuai Amarillo, and Castillo. Their main goal is to create innovative processes that not only enhance coffee quality but also improve the community's quality of life. In recent years, Alejandro and his parents have been dedicated to offering a different future to the region's youth.
